Sissy has been on staff as Church Hostess since 1986. ln this position, she coordinates volunteers to prepare Wednesday night suppers and works with other staff members to prepare meals and refreshments for special events. She grew up in Butler, Georgia, and attended Middle Georgia State University where she received an Associate Degree of Science in Family and Consumer Science. She also attended the University of Georgia and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Science. She was employed by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Science as an Extension Family and Consumer Science Agent from 1974 to 1978 in Decatur County. She has served in leadership roles in the organization of United Methodist Women in Bainbridge, Dawson, and here in Tifton. She and her husband have two children, Matthew and Elizabeth, a son­-in-law, Matt, and a grandchild, Cannon.
